Intensive 5 day art course on Skye, Scotland.

At the invitation of Flora Laing of Hame Hotel, this wildpainting course is coming to the wild terrain of the Isle of Skye! Situated off the west coast of Scotland, the isle is known for its beautiful scenery and unique land formations. Skye or Eilean a’Cheo (misty isle in Scottish Gaelic) is the largest island of the Inner Hebrides, and a vibrant place of legend and myth. 
On Skye, we will open ourselves to and experience the dramatic landscape of mountains, lochs (lakes) and glens (valleys) through making art right in the heart of it.
Tutor Jan van Boeckel will guide you in exploring this enchanting place through painting – working with colour, tonality and composition. Weather permitting, we will work among the rocks and fields or at the coastline, capturing the ever-changing scenes. Jan will invite you to paint in ways that you have probably never experienced before. He will encourage you to work beyond habitual ways of making art – and thus to see ‘the misty isle’ with fresh eyes!
This wildpainting course is meant for both beginners and more experienced painters. More experienced painters and other artists (like all other participants) will receive and hopely benefit from individual tutoring, tailored to their respective levels, skills, and needs.

Local host for this 5 day wildpainting course in Skye is Flora Laing at Hame Hotel. Bookings can be made through www.hamehotel.com/events/ or by sending an email to: [email protected].
We will start on Monday morning, April 20. Participants arrive latest on Sunday, April 19. On Friday, April 24, we will have a closing off session. On Saturday morning participants leave home again.​
Lodging and Course Fee
We will be lodged in the Hame Hotel.
*) Single room £1200 pp / Shared room £800 pp. This includes 5 days of teaching (roughly 4 to 5 hours of teaching per day, with much individual tutoring); use of all art materials; and food & accommodation for 5 days and 6 nights at Hame Hotel.
The course will take place if at least 8 people sign up for it.

Meals
All food will be provided by Hame Hotel including a continental breakfast, warm lunch and a two course dinner – please specify if you have any dietary requirements.
