Wildpainting is a way of observing and giving expression to the magical colours in the landscape. Our rational mind often tells us what nature is supposed to be like, for example that the leaves of a tree are green and its trunk is brown. There is a world to discover beyond what you think you know is there.
In Wildpainting you practise being fully aware in nature. Letting the landscape think itself through you; thus you become its consciousness, as Cézanne put it poetically. To allow for this to happen, you will be encouraged to break free from more conventional painting habits and to immerse yourself in a natural environment that invites the opening of all the senses. The Wildpainting experience is about bringing the painting easels en plein air; to be together among the cypress trees, the mountains or the vast open fields, and to delight in the rich tastes of a delicious warm, homemade lunch. |
